I AM OF MY MOTHER

is a poem written by ONEgroup director Alf Orpen that was inspired by what is considered 'Ireland's first poem spoken by Amairgin the Gail who first set foot in Ireland. It also has it's roots in the words of people he has learned from in the Deep Ecology movement such as David Suzuki. As Alf puts it, in as much as it reflects his personal feelings, it is original. In as much as it resembles Amairgin's words, clearly it is not. Alf is grateful for the inspiration.
